Two Course Directors on Staff: Ocean Divers has two with over 28 combined years of instructor training experience. Our Course Director staff includes Joe Angelo and Pam Wooton.
All facilities in one location: As a true resort environment should be, everything is in one location. There is no need to drive to different locations for your program. We have two classrooms, a large pool, two dive boats a fully stocked store, restaurant and bar, and hotel all in one location. We even offer free wi-fi internet access.
On site recompression chamber: During your IDC, we will invite you for a tour of Hyperbarics International conducted by the renowned Dick Rutkowski. You will even be able to participate in an actual Hyperbaric Chamber dive. We have logged over 450 IDC chamber dives.
8 Day IDC: We do not try to pack an entire IDC into 5 days. Ocean Divers believes in doing more than just the bare minimum to help you prepare for your career. For example, we offer 4 days of actual diving and 5 pool sessions. In addition to the skills that will be practiced during your dives, you will also be practicing rescue skills. Most operations only do 2 days of diving and 3 pool sessions. Ocean Divers will train you how to teach in a realistic environment, not how to just pass a test.
Job Placement: Ocean Divers will help you to secure a job within the diving industry. Whether you are looking to work in a resort in the Caribbean or a live-aboard, we have the connections to get your foot in the door. *Ocean Divers cannot guarantee job placement, but neither can any one else.
Internship training Program: What a better place to get experience than at a professional resort. With Ocean Divers you will gain experience in dive mastering boats, equipment maintenance and air systems and instruction.
Free IDC Preparatory class: This is a free class for those registered for an Ocean Divers IDC. The class is a review of the knowledge needed for the IDC and the Instructor Examination. It covers physics, physiology, diving equipment, skills and environment and the dive tables.
Dormitory Housing: We offer an inexpensive dormitory housing option for our students who are operating on a budget. It sleeps seven people with a separate room for the ladies. This air conditioned dorm offers a full kitchen and bathroom, cable TV and a computer with PADI Multimedia for homework and study sessions. *The dormitory is located 5.8 miles north of our main store.

In this relaxed and well-tutored environment you will benefit immensely from our program. Our IDC Staff are available for questions and assistance when preparing home assignments, presentations and general considerations.
