Underwater Naturalist Specialty

Why Underwater Naturalist?
If you're interested in aquatic life then the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course is for you. This course is an introduction to the underwater aquatic environment and will help develop safe and responsible aquatic life interaction techniques. Learn about why some creatures behave the way they do and what their role is in the aquatic ecosystem.


What do I need to start?
    
· PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification or qualifying
       certification from another organization
      · Minimum age: 10 years old


What You Learn
You learn about
The major aquatic life groupings, interactions and factual information that dispels negative myths.
The role of aquatic plants, food chains and predator prey relationships
Responsible interactions with aquatic life
The underwater naturalist’s view of organisms and their roles in the environment
You put this information into practice during your two open water dives.

· One day course
     · Two open water training dives

The PADI Underwater Naturalist Manual


Course cost $195

Where will I be diving?
You will be enjoying some of the best reef locations Key Largo and Pennekamp Park have to offer, including Molasses Reef, French Reef, Benwood Wreck, Christ of the Deep, and Snapper Ledge to name a few. During the challenging specialties you will be diving the famous wrecks of the LSD Spiegel Grove and the USCG Duane
