Get your PADI scuba certification. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.

The Fun Part
The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make pool dives and four dives on some of the best reefs in Key Largo and in Pennekamp Park under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

f you’ve tried diving through a PADI Discover Scuba Diving Resort Course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.

As a National Geographic Diver, you join an elite group of explorers, adventurers and conservationists. The insight and training you gain during this program will broaden your awareness and take your diving skills to a new level. You'll learn to observe and explore like an underwater scientist.

Your experience begins with the PADI Open Water Diver program, enhanced with adventures unique to the National Geographic Diver program. You will learn to explore with detail, identify important underwater features and navigate with certainty. You will have the diving knowledge and practice to maneuver with poise along the reef ’s ecosystems.

What do I need to start?
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI National Geographic Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.
A PADI Jr Open Water Diver between the ages of 10 and 12 years may only dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.

How long will it take?

It all depends on how you do it. If you want to do the on-line class you will need two days with Ocean Divers to complete your training. If you choose to do the class work and dives with us your program will take four days.Image3

The course fee includes 6 dives, equipment (except mask, fins and snorkel) and certification fees: $550

Where will I be diving?
You will be enjoying some of the best reef locations Key Largo and Pennekamp Park have to offer, including Molasses Reef, French Reef, Benwood Wreck, Christ of the Deep, and Snapper Ledge to name a few. Why not continue the adventure and take a PADI Advanced Open Water course where you could dive the famous wrecks of the LSD Spiegel Grove and the USCG Duane
